All hierarchies are man-made.  What they cause is there for all to see:  environmental destruction, global warming, never-ending wars and so forth;  the list is heartbreaking and endless.  Look at the environment with a loving heart, and the world once again turns into a miraculous space that feeds on love.

Of course, this guideline is also meant to be understood internally, within oneself.  Friendliness to all beings must include yourself.  In fact you should be the platform from which to start your loving journey.  Sages throughout the ages have been known to "worship" their own bodies to the bewilderment of the people around.  Yet seen in this light, it doesn't seem strange at all.

The declaration and the IN go hand in hand, since the words it contains embody the truth of a human being and are filled with infinite, powerful energy.  This declaration is addressed to oneself, and is directed toward the awakening of one's soul.

When the declaration is used with an open heart, it is a way of elevating oneself to higher and higher realms of being, keeping in mind that even without performing the IN the Declaration is a wonderful and powerful prayer.

Do we need to make a special effort to enjoy the beauty of the blue sky

Do we have to practice to be able to enjoy it?  No, we just enjoy it.

Each second, each minute of our lives can be like this.

Wherever we are, any time, we have the capacity to enjoy the sunshine,

the presence of each other, even the sensation of our breathing.

We don't need to go to China to enjoy the blue sky.

We don't need to travel into the future to enjoy our breathing.

We can be in touch with these things right now.

When you leave behind your selfish desires, your true mind comes to reflect itself in your daily words and actions.  Since your true self is a radiant light, rooted in the divine,  your words, actions and lifestyle begin to shine.  However, since this radiant light is in a different category from that of the material world, its brilliance is not clearly perceived by most people.  But I do think they can feel brightness, gentleness and warmth without knowing why. 

As you approach this state, you give people a pleasant sensation of pureness, cleanness and brightness.

Leaving behind selfish desires can be explained from a different perspective as thinking about and working for others, thinking about and working for society, and thinking about and working for humankind.  In short it is to do only works of love.  When your true self appears on the surface, it means that God is manifested there.  God is all of everything and God is love.  Thus, when the Divine Mind moves in you, you are actively sending out thoughts and actions of love.

It takes a good while to really die.  For some people it can be quick, yet the way the soul leaves the body is different for each individual.  For some people it may take a couple of days before the final withdrawal of the soul is completed.  There is a lovely anecdote from the Munster region, about a man who had died.

  As the soul left the body, it went to the door of the house to begin its journey back to the eternal place.  But the soul looked back at the now empty body and lingered at the door.  Then it went back and kissed the body and talked to it.  The soul thanked the body for being such a hospitable place for its life journey and remembered the kindness the body had shown it during life....

In the Celtic tradition there is a great sense that the dead do not live far away.  In Ireland there are always places, fields and old ruins where the ghosts of people are seen.  That kind of folk memory recognizes that people who have lived in a place, even when they move to invisible form, somehow still remain attached to that place...

I OFTEN THINK THAT THE INNER WORLD IS LIKE  a landscape.  Here, in our limestone landscape, there are endless surprises.  It is lovely to be on top of a mountain and to discover a spring well gushing forth from beneath the heavy rocks.  Such a well has a long biography of darkness and silence.  It comes from the heart of the mountain where no human eye has ever gazed.  The surprise of the well suggests the archaic resources of consciousness awakening within us.  With a sudden freshness, new springs come alive within.

The silence of landscape conceals vast presence.  Place is not simply location.  A place is a profound individuality.  Its surface texture of grass and stone is blessed by rain, wind and light.  With complete attention landscape celebrates the liturgy of the seasons, giving itself unreservedly to the passion of the goddess.  The shape of a landscape is an ancient and silent form of consciousness.  Mountains are huge contemplatives.  Rivers and streams offer voice; they are the tears of the earths joy and despair.  The earth is full of soul.




Plotinus in the Enneads speaks of the "souls" care of the universe:  "this ALL is one universally comprehensive living being, encircling all the living beings within it, and having a soul, one soul which extends to all its members in the degree of participant membership held by each".

UNITY - ONENESS

I found this passage in Jessica Macbeths book Faeries Oracle, illustrated by Brian Froud.
I shuffled the oracle cards and my intuition said go with the 27th card, so here it is! 



"Unity comes  first and last.  In between we have the illusion of duality, which we all believe in for a very long time.  This apparent duality is ultimately shown to be an illusion, but it is an illusion through which we must pass, through which we learn and grown, and then once again return to Unity.

You may have had mystical experiences where you have had true union with other beings or even with the Unity, the One Who Is All.  Such experiences change our lives, effectively showing us that the saying "we are all one" is not just a pious belief but a statement of actual fact.  We are not separate like the flowers in a field, but are one.  The only way to reach this awareness is to surrender the small everyday self to the larger spiritual self, which is Unity.  Experiencing full oneness with the Unity is transformative.

Unity is the energy of the cosmos still unmanifest, still without form.
Here in unity we see the dark, and the light, masculine and feminine, active and passive, and other polarities, all expressed in the balanced, energy filled, vibrant union.  "All That Is one, and that One is god/goddess is the principle expressed.  From this all else derives.  This is the source from which we draw our strength, our very being."

the card shows vibrant blue energy with a ball of light in the centre.  All the power is focused in the ball of light - vast energy.  It is as if all that power is looking for a place to happen and this is in fact what is going on inside us all of the time - a vast ball of energy lighting up our entire beings, looking for an outlet, energy looking to be birthed through Unity...

As the mineral is translucent I would say it is a very good mineral to work with our awareness and higher spiritual bodies, especially in the region of the heart.
On a body level I would say it was good for swellings of the soft tissue membranes, especially inside the body.  Also good for letting go/releasing excess "mind chatter", as it lifts and elevates above the normal awareness and into higher dimensions.  Brings things to the surface in a gentle way....

As we are all individuals everyone should go with their own intuition and take from this as appropriate to the situation at hand

According to the metaphysical systems that frame the physiological-sexual and psychological nature of woman is receptivity.  The quality of receptivity, 'an enveloping openness' is evident in tantric symbols of the goddess: the lake, the well, the empty vase and the yoni.

Receptivity is a condition of awareness of empty form.  Practically, in the yogin's meditation upon Emptiness, receptive relaxation is imperative; in total mental relaxation, consciousness perched at the doors of the senses achieves perfect insight into the forms of perception (vispasyana meditation).....

In the same way that the female's receptivity invites the male's creative activity, the Dakini's mental receptivity facilitates her perfect insight into the Guru's dynamic forms, and the resulting union is of Emptiness and form, perfect insight and skilful
Every woman is the Dakini.  Her third initiation is the empowering recognition of that fact, and her post-initiation practice is the sadhana (spiritual practice) of maintaining and substantiating the Dakini's Awareness....

A yogin can evaluate the maturity of his practice by judging the constancy and depth of his vision of woman as the Dakini.  That is not to say that he should see every woman as Tara, the goddess of devoted service (although he should be able to discern that syndrome in every woman to some degree), for there are innumerable types of Dakini, even as many as there are psychological types of women....

The constant in the adept's vision of them all is their empty dance of awareness, whereas the mutable forms of their dances, and their functions, are like make-up and ornaments.....

Who can estimate the elevating and refining influences and moral value 
of flowers with all their graceful forms, bewitching shades and combinations
of colors and exquisitely varied perfumes?  These silent influences are
unconsciously felt even by those who do not appreciate them consciously
and thus with better and still better fruits, nuts, grains, vegetables and
flowers, will the earth be transformed, man's thought refined, and turned
from the base destructive forces into nobler production.  One which will
lift him to high planes of action toward the happy day when the Creator
of all this beautiful work is more acknowledged and loved, and where man
shall offer his brother man, not bullets and bayonets, but richer grains, 
better fruit and fairer flowers from the bounty of this earth.
