MANTRA - "Aham Prema" - meaning IAM DIVINE LOVE

Recently got interested again in mantra and decided to take a look at the Gayatri Mantra, which is one of the most popular ones and found this one which is simple to remember and is pronounced AH-HAHM PREH-MAH (I AM DIVINE LOVE). I felt inclined to tone it inside my head last night while linking into the Peace meditation and think I must have fallen asleep doing it! The odd thing I noticed was the top of my head felt very open while doing it and I slept really well afterwards - must try that again!
The long version of the Gayatri is: Om Bhuh, Om Bhuvaha, Om Swaha, Om Maha, Om Janaha, Om Tapaha, Om Satyam, Om Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi, Dhiyo Yonaha Prachodayat - It works with all the chakras and brings the divine light down to earth. If anyone can shed any more light on these particular mantras please do as I am very interested to learn more.
